Versace Go Bold with Their New V-Circle Tribute Edition Watch Collection

When you think Versace, the first adjectives that pop into your head will not likely include “reserved,” or “quiet.” Even so, with their new throwback collection of V-Circle Tribute Edition timepieces, Versace re-ups on their larger-than-life aesthetic with an elegant, streamlined design dominated by fierce baroque stylings.

Versace V-Circle Tribute Edition Watch Black

This Tribute Edition watch is taken from Versace’s established V-Circle collection, which is one of the designers more classic and timeless offerings, and combined with one of the brand’s most elusive prints. The face of this collection hearkens back to the simplistic V-Circle design, with Greek keys, a Medusa head at the 12 o’clock marker and a subtle, intertwined”V” pattern. This luxurious, but toned-down dial is sharply contrasted with Versace’s “wild baroque” print featured on the strap, which debuted in the designer’s SS/1992 collection. Classic French imagery floats above a bold animal print for a head-turning timepiece that will outshine most, if not all of its peers on sheer visibility alone.

Versace V-Circle Tribute Edition Watch Both colors

There are two models in this collection, one in black and one in white, with corresponding print on the calf leather straps. The Versace V-Circle Tribute Edition watches operate on a Swiss-made quartz mechanism and feature either silver or IP yellow gold cases that measure at 38mm. If you plan on taking this piece into the water, you can rest assured that it’s water resistant up to 50 meters.

Fashion fans will be able to access an epicenter of vintage shopping from a variety of top brands in fashion.

The selection of vintage dealers will be showcasing their one-of-a-kind apparel and accessories collections for the entire fashion community to have access to the best in vintage design, style, and period pieces. Each vintage dealer will be showcasing a unique facet of the industry with product available for wholesale and retail.

The product will range from luxury vintage designer, including Missoni and Versace, gowns and furs, to rare Victorian and Asian pieces such as Issey Miyake, alongside accessible active and sportswear, denim, T-shirts, and personal pieces from Norma Kamali‘s closet from as early as the turn of the century.

Intermezzo Collections first debuted its B2B VINTAGE (at) Intermezzo neighborhood at the NY Women’s May Show with returning curator and industry expert, Bridgette Morphew of Morphew Concept. Coming off of the success of this show, matched with the consumer demand for authenticity in their purchases, opening up the show to the public was the evident next step.

“Vintage brings provenance to one’s wardrobe and represents another time, when clothing and accessories were not mass produced but crafted by hand with a true love for the actual product itself. It speaks to the journey that has brought us to today and influences the way we see ourselves in the future,” said Peter Berta, Show Director.

Fashion icon and longtime fan of the Intermezzo Collection show, Iris Apfel, will be joining the esteemed designer Norma Kamali as well as Stephanie Solomon, the Vice President and Fashion Director at Lord & Taylor for a panel discussion moderated by Lauren Parker, Editor in Chief of Accessories Magazine on the benefits of vintage, and how retailers can use it to set their stores apart. The ‘Value of Vintage’ panel will be hosted on the Monday of the show at 2 p.m. in the Crystal Palace.

The fair will also include a Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Presentation on Sunday, August 6 at 2 p. m. and gives a detailed look at what’s driving the five biggest trends for the SS18 with a focus on accessories.

On Tuesday, at 10 a.m. there will be a Q&A with Rachel Shechtman, founder of themed retailer STORY. Called “The Compelling Curation: The Art of Storytelling,” Shechtman will talk about creating a brick-and-mortar experience that feels like a live webpage with its ever-changing themes, products and point of view.

Women’s Spring/Summer 2017 Trend Report

The time machine is back in effect for the Spring 2017 collections. The 80’s redux, from metallics to mini lengths and strong shoulders at Erdem, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Monse, Rodarte, and Saint Laurent. Taking us back to the “I want my MTV’ and Reagan era. Yes the 80’s are back!

“Flower power” also took a major role. Big, bold, graphic and colorful floral prints were apparent at Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and more. Motorcross Mondrian-esque prints were also in effect. Speed racer inspired looks from Fendi, Proenza Schouler, to Sonia Rykiel and Versace alike. Fatigues are here to stay. Utilitarian is going on strong. Khakis and army greens at Balmain, Bottega Veneta, Celine, and Loewe, in ruffled greens, sheers and mini camo. Wanderlust looks in patch work, printed sweeping lengths, ruched and layered dresses took a play at Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Etro, Lanvin, Oscar De La Renta, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino.

Beyond the shadow of doubt, rose was the prominent color of Spring 2017. Rosy hues appeared on various runways. Strong feminine tones and silhouettes at Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Celine, Givenchy, Hermes, Jil Sander, Jason Wu, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Vetements. As the majestic Diana Vreeland so gracefully once said: “Pink is the navy blue of India.”

Accessory Spotlight: Versace

Palazzo Empire is the new Versace watches icon. The Palazzo Empire collection has the same unique design and style of the Versace accessories collection. The bold 3D raised Medusa head seems to float above the center of the dial. It is positioned between two watch glasses, embellishing and enhancing the sunray guilloché dial. The top ring is adorned by an enameled Greek key design in colors that match the fine supple calfskin strap. It comes in dynamic colors, total white, resolute black, vibrant pink and an elegant total black version.

These are truly feminine, exquisite, luxurious and essential for your Spring wardrobe.
